Privacy Notice for Job Applicants (KVKK)

As part of your job application, the following personal data may be processed:

• Identity details: name and surname, and your age or date of birth if you include it in your CV,
• Contact details: e-mail address, telephone number, city of residence,
• Professional experience and education: the education, work experience, certificates, languages and skills in your CV, and your LinkedIn profile link,
• Your answers to the application questions: expected salary, availability for overtime, driving licence and active driving, cover letter,
• Other information you include in your CV, such as military service status,
• Information you share during interviews and our evaluation notes.

Please do not include special categories of personal data, such as health, religion, association or trade union membership or criminal convictions, in your CV or the application form. We do not request such data, as it is not needed for recruitment.

Your personal data are processed solely for the following purposes:

• Evaluating your application and your suitability for open positions,
• Communicating with you and planning and conducting interviews and assessments,
• Making the hiring decision and preparing for the conclusion of an employment contract,
• Considering your application for similar positions that may open during the retention period,
• Planning and carrying out human resources processes,
• Fulfilling legal obligations and protecting TEDEG’s rights in the event of a dispute.

Your personal data are processed on the following legal grounds set out in Article 5(2) of KVKK:

• Processing is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract, where directly related to it (evaluation towards concluding an employment contract),
• Processing is necessary for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligations,
• Processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right,
• Processing is necessary for the data controller’s legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Where explicit consent is required (for example, contacting the referees listed in your CV), your explicit consent will be obtained separately.

Solely for the purposes above and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of KVKK, your personal data may be transferred to:

• Authorised TEDEG employees and managers involved in recruitment,
• The website hosting, e-mail delivery and information technology service providers we use to receive and store applications,
• Legal, financial advisory and similar professional advisers,
• Public institutions and organisations, and judicial and administrative authorities that are legally authorised.

Applications made through our website reach us via website hosting and e-mail delivery service providers whose servers are located abroad (in the European Union and the United States). Your personal data may therefore be transferred abroad.

Your personal data are collected through the job application form on our website, e-mail, recruitment platforms, telephone and interviews, by fully or partially automated means, or by non-automated means provided that they form part of a data recording system.

If your application is successful, your personal data are transferred to your personnel file and kept for the periods set out in the applicable legislation.

If your application is unsuccessful or is not taken forward, your personal data are kept for no longer than 1 (one) year from the date of application and are then erased, destroyed or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your data at any time before this period ends.

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to apply to TEDEG to:

• Learn whether your personal data are processed,
• Request information if they have been processed,
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data are used in line with that purpose,
• Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your personal data are transferred,
• Request the correction of incomplete or inaccurate personal data,
• Request the erasure or destruction of your personal data where the conditions set out in KVKK are met,
• Request that correction, erasure or destruction be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data have been transferred,
• Object to a result against you arising from the analysis of your data exclusively by automated systems,
• Claim compensation for damage suffered as a result of unlawful processing of your personal data.

Requests are concluded as soon as possible depending on their nature, and within thirty days at the latest.
