FAQ
How many launchers and which coverage angle does the smoke grenade launcher system use?+
The 76 mm Smoke Grenade Launcher System (TDG-76-SGL) is fitted with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 16 launchers per platform, configured for 90°, 120°, 180° or 360° smoke coverage, and can be integrated into land and naval vehicles. The launchers are fired from the remote control unit inside the vehicle individually, in groups (left / right) or all at once; the arm/safe mode select switch and ammunition indicator are on the front panel, and the system works in manual and automatic modes. The number and layout of launchers are set according to the platform's needs.
How does the smoke grenade launcher system connect to the vehicle electronics?+
The system communicates with the vehicle's other electronic systems over CANBUS (J1939) on the same data bus. It runs on a 28 VDC nominal (16–32 VDC) supply; at 28 VDC it draws 120 mA ± 20 mA nominally and 6 A ± 2 A in firing mode, and MIL-STD-1275E is the reference for military vehicle power conditions. Each launcher weighs 2.3 kg ± 0.5 kg, has a zinc-nickel coating and is rated for −40 °C … +70 °C and 95% humidity; a maintenance kit with a wire brush, hex key set, ammunition test simulator, snap ring pliers and cleaning brush is supplied with the system.
T-Light Turret searchlight or Mobile Lighting Tower for illumination?+
For target recognition and long-range search with a light that turns with the weapon turret, the T-Light Turret Military Searchlight: 20 LEDs, 4,590 lm (±10%), 10° (long-range) or 15° (wide-area) lens, 16–33 VDC, 50 W typical / 60 W max., unlimited 360° horizontal movement from the turret plus 135° vertical, IP69K projector and IP65 controller, ~3.7 kg, Ø 156.8 mm flange with 4 × M6 fixings. For lighting a field or camp area from the vehicle roof, the T-Light Mobile Lighting Tower: 112,000 lm from 2 × 600 W LEDs, mast options of 1.0 / 1.8 / 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.5 m (max. 2 m on the TDK-LT2000-2LED model), 360° pan / 330° tilt, DC 12 V / DC 24 V or AC 220 V supply, wired and wireless control over RS-485 Pelco-D/P, built-in air compressor, IP67, 60 kg, wind resistance up to 66 km/h.
How do I choose between RS-485 and CAN-Bus on the warning unit?+
The T-Light Programmable Warning Unit is made as two separate models with RS-485 or CAN-Bus communication; the protocol is specified at the time of ordering and cannot be changed in the field, so choose according to your vehicle data bus. The pinout is the same on both models: on the PT02E-10-6P connector, A is the power input (16–32 VDC), B ground, C and D the communication lines, E the communication ground and F the scenario input / output. The unit draws 50 mA nominally and 400 mA in the warning state at 24 VDC, and offers a three-level audible alert up to 110 dB, red / yellow / green / blue / purple LEDs and a blackout mode that switches off all light and sound. It mounts with M4-bolted surface / flange mounting, and a clamp adapter is optional.
Which standards and environmental conditions are the products designed to?+
The smoke grenade launcher system's datasheet lists MIL-STD-461G (EMI/EMC), MIL-STD-810G (environmental) and MIL-STD-1275E (28 VDC vehicle power). The warning unit is rated for MIL-STD-810H 514.8 vibration (5–2000 Hz, 7.7 grms), 516.8 shock (40 g / 11 ms), IEC 60068-2-75 ≥ 20 J impact and IP68 (60 min at 1 m immersion); the T-Light Turret operates from −32 °C to +60 °C with an IP69K projector body, and the Mobile Lighting Tower has an IP67 body and withstands wind up to 66 km/h. These products are designed to the standards stated in their datasheets; if your programme needs a test report, request it at the quotation stage stating the standard and method number.
Which choices do I need to make before ordering, and what should I send for a quotation?+
The options fixed at the time of ordering are: the number of launchers and coverage angle on the smoke grenade launcher system; the 10° or 15° lens on the T-Light Turret; the mast height and DC / AC supply on the Mobile Lighting Tower; and the RS-485 or CAN-Bus protocol together with standard NATO green or optional RAL 9005 matt black on the warning unit. Send the platform type, the vehicle bus voltage and data bus, the configuration you require and the quantities through the quote form; Turkish and English datasheets for all four products are on the product pages.
