Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
- Good / advanced command of SolidWorks
- Knowledge of and experience in machining and sheet metal manufacturing methods
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Able to design parts and assemblies, taking manufacturability and assembly criteria into account
- Competent in preparing technical drawings
- Experienced in improving and developing existing systems
- Able to take part in reverse engineering and 3D modelling processes
- Analytical thinker with a three-dimensional perspective
- Detail-oriented, systematic and disciplined in work habits
- Team player, responsible and strong at following work through
- Holds a Class B driving licence and drives actively
- Able to travel
Job Description
- Carry out literature research in line with project requirements and develop mechanical design solutions
- Create mechanical designs for subsystems and integrated systems
- Prepare part and assembly technical drawings
- Define tolerances, dimensions and manufacturing details correctly on technical drawings
- Create exploded views, assembly sequences and manufacturing data packages
- Take an active part in prototype production, assembly and testing
- Manage and follow up the manufacturing and production processes of the first article
- Provide technical support in procurement processes
- Measure and 3D-model existing products and develop variant designs
- Carry out design revisions based on production and field feedback
- Manage technical documentation in an organised and traceable way
