The Role
At TEDEG Defence, project engineering means owning the entire life cycle of a project from contract to delivery, acting as the bridge between technical teams and the customer, and ensuring that every internal unit works in sync towards the project’s goals.
The candidate we are looking for is a teammate who does not merely report on a project but leads it from within, sets the schedule, goes out into the field and sees it through to completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a university engineering faculty (preferably Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering)
- At least 2 years of experience in project engineering or project management
- Preferably project experience in defence, aerospace or similarly highly regulated industries
- Able to actively manage project, order and material processes through ERP systems
- Proficient in project management methodologies
- Able to read and interpret customer Technical Requirements Specifications, Statements of Work and contract documents, and to derive deliverables from them
- Knowledgeable about, or willing to learn, military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and related MIL-SPECs)
- Strong planning, organisation and follow-up skills; knows “who has a task, since when and why it is delayed” and follows it through to completion
- Able to run multiple projects in parallel and prioritise
- Able to steer and coordinate cross-functional teams (design, production, procurement, quality, test)
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills; able to explain technical topics to the customer and relay customer requests internally
- Analytical, focused on problem-solving and proactive
- Does not shy away from responsibility and able to take initiative
- Willing to spend time in field, production and test environments
- Able to travel within Türkiye and abroad
- Holds a Class B driving licence and drives actively

Job Description
Project Planning and Schedule Management
- Review the customer contract, Technical Requirements Specification and Statement of Work in detail to identify project deliverables
- Build the project delivery schedule, define milestones and submit them for approval
- Prepare the project work breakdown structure (WBS) and assign tasks to the relevant units
- Keep the project schedule up to date, identify deviations early and take action
Internal Coordination and Leadership
- Track the project-specific goals of the design, production, procurement, quality and test units
- Organise and run project meetings (kick-off, status, close-out)
- Manage dependencies between units; identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Lead the project team; clarify goals, responsibilities and deadlines
- Prepare weekly status reports and present them to senior management
ERP System Management
- Open projects, create work orders and enter orders in the ERP system
- Organise the upkeep of project progress data and material and purchase requests in the ERP system
- Ensure project cost, progress and delivery tracking is traceable through the ERP system
- Establish process discipline that protects ERP data integrity
Customer Relations and Coordination
- Lead technical and programmatic communication with the customer
- Manage customer requests, change requests and feedback, and relay them internally
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of engineering reports, document submissions and interim outputs to the customer
- Organise customer visits, review meetings (PDR, CDR, etc.) and audits
Verification, Documentation and Quality
- Take part in building project verification matrices and defining verification methods
- Coordinate the documentation activities needed to meet design certification and verification requirements
- Carry out advance planning and information gathering for environmental and functional tests
- Ensure project technical documentation is archived in an organised, traceable and complete manner
Risk and Process Management
- Identify project risks early and develop proposed solutions
- Ensure process follow-up at suppliers and subcontractors
- Present senior management with decisions that keep the project’s scope, schedule and cost triangle in balance
