Overview
Operating in the İvedik Organised Industrial Zone (OSB) and Teknopark Ankara, our company designs, develops and manufactures electronic, electromechanical and mechanical subsystems for the defence industry. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team, to be based mainly at our İvedik campus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- At least 1 year of experience in quality management systems, quality assurance or quality control
- Preferably knowledgeable about ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Has taken part in customer audits, certification processes and customer-approved supplier processes
- Experienced in supplier quality management and supplier development
- Able to read technical drawings and use basic measuring equipment (callipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) effectively
- Proficient in incoming, in-process and final quality control processes
- Experience in the quality control of electronic boards, cable assemblies, mechanical parts and electromechanical products is preferred
- Experienced in preparing test reports, inspection records and quality documentation
- Has taken part in root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, etc.) and CAPA (corrective and preventive action) processes
- Proficient in MS Office
- Preferably experienced with ERP systems
- Strong analytical thinking, detail-oriented, with strong planning and organisational skills
- Team player with strong communication skills and a sense of responsibility
Job Description
Quality Management System
- Ensure the effective implementation and improvement of ISO 9001, AS9100 and customer quality requirements
- Plan and carry out preparations for internal and external audits
- Take an active role in audits by customers, certification bodies and government authorities
- Report nonconformities identified in audits and follow up corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare, update and maintain procedures, instructions, processes, quality plans and other documentation within the Quality Management System
- Monitor that projects are carried out in line with quality requirements
- Analyse process performance and contribute to continuous improvement
- Plan and deliver in-house quality training
Quality Control
- Perform incoming inspection of purchased materials and manage acceptance / rejection
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of electronic boards, cable assemblies, mechanical parts and electromechanical products
- Plan and apply quality control activities in production processes
- Verify that products conform to technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), technical specifications and customer requirements
- Perform or coordinate the final inspection and functional testing of finished products
- Take part in product acceptance tests (FAT), factory acceptance tests, environmental tests and pre-delivery quality verification activities
- Record measurement, test and inspection results, and prepare and archive quality reports
- Identify and quarantine nonconforming products and manage nonconformity processes
- Track the calibration of measurement and test equipment
- Support first article inspection (FAI) and customer acceptance processes
