Overview
Product and Purpose
TDG-CAM-205 is a 1080P HD vehicle camera that combines the wide coverage of a fisheye lens with built-in lens distortion correction. Across a 170° horizontal and 100° vertical field of view it straightens the edge curvature of a fisheye image, so that objects, lane markings and other vehicles appear with realistic shape and distance. That makes it well suited to rear-view and manoeuvring tasks, where the driver judges distances from the screen.
Four infrared LEDs provide 8–10 m night vision with automatic day / night switching. The camera has a built-in microphone and mirror function, an IP69K housing and 5.9G vibration resistance, and operates from −20 °C to +70 °C.

Typical Applications
- Reversing and rear view where the driver needs to judge distances on screen
- Manoeuvring in tight spaces such as depots, loading points and convoy halts
- Wide side coverage on long vehicles and trailers, without fisheye distortion
- Low-light operation with infrared illumination up to 10 m
The TEDEG Advantage
TDG-CAM-205 runs on 12 VDC. On military vehicles with a 24 / 28 VDC electrical system, TEDEG supplies the cameras together with the SENTRA KBM Camera Power Distribution Module, which provides 11 galvanically isolated 12 VDC camera outputs from a MIL-STD-1275E 28 VDC input and carries the video lines on the same harness. Cameras, camera power and vehicle power distribution therefore come from a single supplier, with one point of contact for integration.
Connector type, cable length and mounting are matched to the platform during the project, and TEDEG's engineering team supports system integration and acceptance testing.
Corporate assurance: TEDEG Defence holds NATO supplier registration NCAGE TM885 and operates an ISO 9001 quality management system.

FAQ
What is image correction and why does it matter?+
A fisheye lens covers a very wide area but bends straight lines near the edges, which makes distances hard to judge. TDG-CAM-205 corrects this distortion in the camera, giving a 170° × 100° image in which lane markings and vehicles appear straight and in realistic proportions.
How far does the night vision reach?+
Four infrared LEDs provide night vision up to 8–10 metres, with automatic, sensor-controlled colour / IR switching.
Does it record audio?+
Yes. The camera has a built-in microphone.
What temperature range is it rated for?+
TDG-CAM-205 operates from −20 °C to +70 °C at up to 95% relative humidity. For colder climates, models rated to −32 °C such as TDG-CAM-201 or TDG-CAM-204 are available.
How is it powered on a 24 / 28 VDC vehicle?+
The camera is supplied from 12 VDC. On 24 / 28 VDC vehicles it is powered through a 12 VDC camera supply such as the SENTRA KBM, which feeds up to 11 cameras from isolated outputs.
